Peace of WAR...
AM back and by popular demand :) just goes out to show how many folks out there are 'thirsty' to hear what i gotta say :P I miss writing my journals.... every time am here I realise how much my poor website needs. Also thanks to all the passerbys who are kind enuff to apprecaite and encourage me. Thanks for all your entries in my guestbook. It means a lot to me.
So goin back to my life...Oh hum! Its been a busy weekend. And YES the War is on. US and UK are busy bombing Iraq and folks out here are pretty tense while school kids are hoping they would get days off. Its amazing how people around here react to war, planes and threats. The only real tension I witnessed here in Dubai was during the two days of 9/11. Later, it was business as usual.
Few lives have been affected (like those who have come to Dubai to find jobs, start new business etc) and the economy is bear'ish'. War... is that a subject I wanna talk about? ... not really. I'm I for it? Well, it would be nice to see Iraq and those really nice (scard) people librated from that dictator Saddam and their economy all rebuilt. Its a beautiful country full of sun flowers and quite fertile land. I was there just two years ago... it seems like it was pretty much coming up slowly but surely... and then those people have to deal with this.
I just hope its a quick one claiming few lives only. I hate wars like everyone else as people die. I wish UN was a lot more stronger... No one ever fights for REAL PEACE anymore... its always the case of 'whats in it for me?' and here its pure OIL. Am sure France and the rest will use the "restructure iraq" to make up for their stand against the u know who. Oh hum!
However, we at the office have been quite busy with our own measures in case of it all... what more can we do.. than to prepare for the WORST... which I doubt we will witness.
I have been riding on other roller coasters too... but today - I feel a lot better as I got off it. Life seems very blur when on the ride and then when the ride comes to a halt.... it takes a while to adjust your prespective but you feel trimpht - that you mustered your gutts to go on a crazy ride and got over your fears and came out of it in one peice. I duno if am makin any sense rite now... but am sure its something everyone who has been on a coaster relate.
There are tons of other topics that I wanna talk ... and will jott them later since I have to go and prepare a huge feast for over 10 people visiting us tonite.
